Process

How It’s Made

Cushion programs are developed to approved specifications so they can be repeated. This is the path from a furniture review to ongoing production.

  1. 01

    Furniture / program review

We start with the frame, the collection, and how the cushion needs to be used.

  2. 02

    Dimensions and pattern development

Seat, back, and ottoman dimensions are set so the cushion fits the furniture.

  3. 03

    Construction specification

Edge, welt, ties, zipper, and thickness are written into the construction.

  4. 04

Fabric, thread, zipper, fill, and component selection

Materials are chosen for outdoor use and for the approved program.

  5. 05

    Sample development

A sample is made to the specification before a program moves forward.

  6. 06

    Production

Approved cushions are produced in the United States.

  7. 07

    Quality review

Pieces are checked against the approved specification.

  8. 08

    Packing and shipment

Finished cushions are packed for the program and shipped.

  9. 09

    Repeat production

Later orders follow the same specification so the program stays consistent.

Quality

Products are built to the approved specification for that program.

Materials are selected for outdoor use.

Consistency matters across repeat production.
